3 Reasons Why Work From Home Careers Will Shape The Future

With unemployment at record highs and most people unhappy with their jobs, work from home careers through freelancing, consulting, and more will shape the future.  There are many ways this is already taking place, but I’ve found that there are 3 major influences to look at as to why this is occurring.

Commuting
More and more people are getting sick of sitting in traffic sucking in air from the surrounding 100+ tailpipes around them.  It’s a waste of time.  Sure, we can listen to entertaining or educational radio programming, sip our morning coffee, and chew on a granola bar – but all of that can be done with work from home careers without the environmental impact of the commute, and without the massive cost of gas to our monthly budgets.

Paid by sale or paid by task/service
Corporations would rather pay per sale or per project.  Fixed costs means less overhead and you can be sure that if the worker wants to be hired again they won’t be slacking at their desk playing solitaire because they’re not being paid per hour.

When a worker is paid per sale, the business owner won’t have to worry about paying for salespeople to sit in their desks to collect a base pay, leaching off of the company’s revenue.  If engineers were paid by project, they’d probably work harder to get it done faster so they could move on to the next project – or in many cases you’d find that if they do quality work they’ll get paid MORE as freelancers in their own work from home careers than if they were on salary.

Work From Home Careers Job Security & Freedom
The public is looking for more control over their lives.  We want more time with our family and we want to better control our work schedules.  Many people have lost their trust of the government and large corporations, and are starting to be more proactive with their future.

Instead of leaning on an employer or a government to take care of them, more and more people are becoming self-reliant and discovering just how capable they are of living more abundant lives.
